Kunst in de Kerk is a group exhibition organised by Lak@rt, the artists’ collective of Laarne and Kalken, bringing the work of local and regional artists into the historic Sint-Denijskerk in Kalken. Lak@rt organises exhibitions and cultural projects designed to make art more accessible and to give artists opportunities to present their work to the public.
The exhibition has become a recurring autumn event in Kalken. Previous editions were also held in the Sint-Denijskerk alongside the local farmers’ market, with a reception following the Saturday evening mass and the main exhibition opening on Sunday.
For the 2026 edition, visitors can discover a varied selection of painting, drawing, ceramics, textile art, mixed media and sculpture. The participating artists are:
