Wilfrieda Van De Velde is a visual artist, creative coach and metalsmith working across jewellery, material painting and bronze.

Wilfrieda Van De Velde is a visual artist, creative coach and trained metalsmith with studios in Laarne and Veurne. After an earlier career in education, she developed her own jewellery line, creating one-off pieces as an alternative to mass-produced adornment.

Her wider practice includes semi-figurative and abstract material paintings and bronze sculpture, often translating feelings into physical form. She also leads jewellery workshops and talks, and founded the creative children's studio De Bonte Bende. Since 2018 she has run her own art gallery in De Haan. She was a co-founder of Lak@rt.
