Noda Haruko

Haruko Noda creates functional porcelain and floral work inspired by nature, water, Japanese culture and Flemish influences.

Haruko Noda was born in Nagoya, Japan, and works in ceramics and floral design. Her practice is rooted in close observation of nature, with water a particularly important source of inspiration because of its constant movement and changing forms.

She creates functional porcelain with flowing lines and forms, bringing Japanese cultural references together with accents developed through life and work in Belgium. Her background includes floral-design training in Japan, Germany and Belgium, followed by specialist ceramics studies at SASK Sint-Niklaas.
