Ingrid Lefevre

Ingrid Lefevre creates portraits and figurative work in watercolour, pastel and mixed media, balancing detail with looser passages.

Ghent-based artist Ingrid Lefevre began drawing portraits at a young age, first in pencil, charcoal and pastel, and later studied monumental art at Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Watercolour became a major focus from 2010 and developed into a lasting passion.

Her recent AquaMix compositions combine watercolour with acrylic, pastel, paper, fabric and dried flowers. Portraits remain central, but her subjects also include figures, animals, flowers, dance, circus, music and vintage cars. Her work balances realism and detail with freer passages of colour, light and value, and has been exhibited in Belgium and internationally.
