Betty Glorieux works in acrylic painting and ceramics. Natural forms and objects from ancient cultures are combined with geometric structures and reinterpreted through her own visual language.

Her acrylic paintings often resemble stone compositions, using layered paint, palette-knife work and prepared surfaces to reinforce a mineral quality. In ceramics, she searches through lines, planes and shapes for a balanced object, often using earth tones and restrained colour. Some sculptural pieces contain movable elements, allowing their appearance to shift. She trained for seven years at the drawing academy in Wetteren.
