Adelheid Dhondt writes poetry and reflective texts as a way of giving language to what can otherwise remain unspoken. Her inspiration may come from within, but also from music, a photograph, a story or an encounter.

Writing became an important creative outlet and has remained part of her practice ever since. More recently she has explored creative workshops that bring a visual dimension to her words. Her poetry has appeared in several collections, including Door Liefde Getekend, Het kind in mij and De hartslag naar mezelf.
